Every bulb or fixture has an energy efficiency class A to G. Energy label A is the most efficient and G the least. LED lighting is the most sustainable lighting technique. Even if a LED bulb is rated E or lower, they still save 70% of energy compared to conventional lighting with the same energy label. Why is it the same label then? To motivate LED brands to get even more durable. |

The lifespan is an indication of the number of hours a product will last. This refers only to the hours the product is actually on. LED lighting has a significantly longer lifespan than conventional lighting. LED lighting therefore lasts much longer. How long you can actually use a product depends on the extent of its (daily) use. |
Average Lifetime (h) | 60000 |

The technology indicates the operating base of a light source. The most well-known and energy-efficient example is LED. Other techniques include Halogen, gas discharge, TL (fluorescent) and the light bulb.

i
The wattage indicates how much energy a light source consumes. With LED lighting, the wattage is considerably lower than with conventional lighting. LED lamps with a higher wattage generally also have a higher light intensity (number of lumens).

Dimmable bulbs work in combination with a dimmer switch and allow you to determine the desired light output. Dimming also provides energy saving potential because less power is required when the lamp is producing less light.

The cap/base of a bulb is the part that connects it to the socket in the fixture. E27 (Edison screw) and E24 (small Edison screw) caps/bases are among the most popular, although this depends on your location. GU10 is generally the most common cap/base for spotlights. Check which cap/base you need carefully as many other types are also available.

Because you can set the direction of the light yourself, a rotatable LED tube is extra efficient with energy. Moreover, the light does not shine around 360 degrees unnecessarily, as is the case with conventional fluorescent tubes.

![]() The colour code is a combination of colour rendering (CRI) and light colour (Kelvin). The first number indicates the colour rendering (1 = very poor colour rendering, 9 = maximum colour fastness). The second and third number contains the light colour. Example: the colour code 830 consists of good colour rendering (8) and warm white light (3000K). |
Colour Code | 830 Warm White |

Colour rendering is also known as Colour Rendering Index (CRI) and indicates the extent to which a light source reproduces colours, compared to the actual colours in daylight. Products with a good (80-89 Ra) or excellent (90-99 Ra) colour rendering show minimal deviations in the colour spectrum.

Colour Rendering (Ra) | 80-89 |

The light color indicates the color of the light emitted: white, colored, or UV. For many products in our assortment, the light is white, available in a range from very warm white to daylight white (expressed in Kelvin). With colored light, you have two options: 1. A single fixed color, such as red or green. 2. RGBW, which means you can adjust the light color at any time: white or colored.

The colour control type tells you in which way you can regulate the colour of the light. You have the following options:
By choosing your preferred light colour options, you are one step closer to the right light product. |

The number of lumens (lm) is the light output of a light source. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the light source emits. The wattage and the number of lumens are not connected to each other. An LED lamp with a low wattage can have a higher number of lumens than a conventional lamp with a high wattage.
|
Luminous Flux (Lumen) | 5050 |
|
i
The Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) indicates how efficiently a light source uses energy. We divide the number of lumens by the wattage. The higher the number, the more efficient a product is in terms of energy consumption. LED lighting has a considerably higher lumen/Watt ratio than conventional lighting.
|
Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) | 137.8 |

Lighting with a sensor only turns on when it receives a specific signal. This reduces energy costs. The (built-in) sensors respond to darkness (twilight switch) and/or movement (motion sensor).

You need a LED starter if the fluorescent lighting in your current fixture also contains a starter. In that case, you have a fixture with a conventional ballast (EM). A LED starter replaces your current starter and ensures that a LED tube works.
|
LED Starter included | No |
|---|---|---|
| Requires Ballast | No | |
|
i
A ballast can be seen as an energy regulator that switches on the lighting. Is there a starter in the fixture? Then this is a conventional ballast (EM). Fixtures with an electronic ballast (HF) don't have a starter. A LED driver can be compared to an electronic ballast and only works with LED lighting.

Energy savings of 54%
This Osram SubstiTUBE T5 UN HO LED tube is the perfect replacement for a T5 fluorescent tube. It's 145 cm long and has the same G5 caps which means it can be used as a direct replacement. Energy savings of up to 54% can be realised because this LED tube only needs 37 watts to produce the same amount of light as a fluorescent tube that uses 80 watts! That's why it has the best possible energy label of A++. It's better for your wallet and the environment.
High Output
While fluorescent tubes have a typical lumen-to-watt ratio of 85, this LED tube boasts a lumen-to-watt ratio of 137 and outputs a total of 5100 lumens!
Universal
This LED tube is universal which means it can be used with fixtures that have a conventional ballast (ones with a starter) as well as ones that have an electronic ballast. If you're using it with a conventional fixture, we even include the LED starter you need to use!
Quick return on investment
A lifespan of 60,000 hours means that this LED tube will last around 16 years if it's on for 10 hours every day! Thanks to the better energy efficiency, you'll quickly earn back the initial cost of your purchase and continue saving money throughout its entire lifespan. For extra peace of mind, it's covered by an all-in warranty of 5 years too.
Beam angle of 200º
Fluorescent tubes distribute their light over 360º which means light is also directed upwards where it's not needed. This LED tube, on the other hand, has a beam angle of 200º. This means light is only directed downwards and to the sides where it's needed most.
Warm white - 3000K
This LED tube has a colour temperature of 3000K and emits a warm white light that provides a pleasant atmosphere. It's ideal for areas like hallways and stairways, for instance.
